Letters / Council leadership should consider their positions
Having watched the video clip of the council meeting of 9 September, I am absolutely appalled at the dictatorial and bullish behaviour displayed by Convener Bell, who was then sufficiently arrogant, along with councillor Coutts, to report councillor Scott to the watchdog.
Councillor Scott ‘relieved’ after ethical standards commissioner dismisses complaints against him
The total lack of respect shown to Ian Scott, his fellow councillor, was shameful.
Mr Scott has always had my admiration for being one of the few councillors who is not afraid to put his head above the parapet and stick with his principles, no matter how uncomfortable or unpopular that makes him in the chamber.
This is just another example of how the duo of councillors Bell and Coutts operate.
They should be ashamed of themselves and consider their positions.
