Black Gaet to close for white-lining work
THE BLACK Gaet will be closed to traffic for most of the working day on Thursday (17 October) to allow white-lining work to go ahead.
The road, which provides the main route between Scalloway and Lerwick, will be opened for emergency vehicles and for access to the Black Gaet Industrial Site if required.
Part of the reason behind the full closure, which will be between 9.30am and 3pm, is to ensure the safety of staff.
The council’s roads service apologises for any inconvenience.
