Election letters 2019 / Fuel troll

John Tulloch’s letter today Fuel poverty the real by-election topic (SN, 26/07/2019) is not about fuel poverty. He is concern-trolling the fuel poor whilst trying to spread doubt as to whether there is a climate crisis.

John’s moves mirror those of the far right across Europe – spreading disinformation and increasing doubt and dissatisfaction – that I have been looking into their agenda more.

I would urge anyone questioning John’s motivation/s to read the Guardian article Germany’s AfD turns on Greta Thunberg as it embraces climate change denial from 14 June of this year.

John’s true concerns lie further ahead than this election. The AfD is a extremist far-right racist party which all true democrats should vigorously oppose.

Nigel Farage has lent them his support in the past. The article ends with a warning that far right extremists are using troll armies to stir up hatred, distrust and anger.
