News / Donations for disability charity
DISABILITY Shetland has received more than £5,000 in local donations after two cheques were handed over to the Market House based charity.
In the photo above Ailidh Risk hands over the impressive amount of £4,500 to Disability Shetland team leader Stephanie Bain after she had her head shaved.
A further £860 for the charity was raised during the Janet Courtney Hostel reunion last year.
In the photo below committee members Gemma Jamieson, Jennifer Nicolson and Edwin Irvine present the donation to former hostel manager George McGhee, who is also the vice-chairman of Disability Shetland.
