News / Difficult driving conditions
THERE were a couple of minor accidents on Shetland’s roads on Thursday morning after wintry weather created slippery conditions.
A man was taken to hospital following a one-vehicle accident on the A970 at Weisdale shortly before 11am.
The blue Toyota Yaris left the road and was later recovered. The driver is not believed to be seriously injured.
A car and trailer also left the A970 near Sullom at around 10.10am. There were no injuries and the road was not blocked.
