Letters / Without bias
I read your article on Yes Shetland’s launch in Lerwick on Thursday night (Independence cause gains momentum; SN 26 July 13) and it was clear, concise and factual without bias.
You may think I am stating the obvious and that this is your everyday job description to ensure the truth shall prevail.
Along with another local newspaper, you may have produced one of the first accurate recordings of a pro independence event/interview in the Scottish media.
There is obvious Union bias in most of the London-based nationals sold in Scotland and many Scottish based papers are more severe in supporting the No campaign.
It is only with publications like your own that true debate of both yes and no voters can make a decision judged on fact.
Thankyou.
