News / Ferry disruption confirmed
SEVERE south easterly gales will delay Wednesday night’s sailings of the NorthLink ferry.
The southbound sailing of Hrossey from Lerwick is not expected to leave until 1am, though passengers are still being asked to check in between 3.30pm and 5pm.
Hrossey is not expected to reach Kirkwall until 7.30am and Aberdeen at 2.30pm on Thursday.
The Hjaltland is unlikely to leave Aberdeen until 11pm on Wednesday, arriving in Lerwick around 9am. Check in times are as normal.
Slight delays are expected across the Pentland Firth, while the 6pm sailing of cargo vessel Hildasay from Lerwick to Aberdeen has been cancelled.
