News / Coalition under scrutiny
THE UK government will come under the scrutiny at the next Althing meeting when four pupils from the Brae High School will debate whether the Lib/Con coalition is good or bad for Britain.
Speaking in support of the motion “The coalition government is bad for Britain” will be Drew Manson and Rachel Smith, while Ben Raikes and Shaun Alderman will put forward the opposing view.
A number of other pupils are expected in the audience which should ensure a lively evening, a spokesman for the Althing debating society said
The debate is in the Tingwall School starting at 7.30pm on Saturday 3rd March. The annual meeting of the Althing will be held the same night.
