News / CAP reform roadshow
FARMERS and crofters will be able to hear more about plans to reform Europe’s Common Agricultural Policy when a region-wide road show brings Scottish government officials to Shetland Museum on 10 January.
Officials will outline the European Commission’s proposals and their likely impact on Scotland after which there will be a question and answer session.
The government is also making a podcast available for anyone unable to attend the meetings. Rural affairs secretary Richard Lochhead is sending every agricultural business a letter outlining the reform proposals.
The government is running a CAP reform blog on Twitter @GreenerScotland and a newsletter is available at http://register.scotland.gov.uk/Subscribe/Step1
