Focus on Scatsta

I would like to applaud Craig Johnson’s request that the SIC look into the viability of allowing Loganair to start flying to Scatsta Airport (Open letter to Loganair and the SIC; SN, 30/05/2018).

In Ryan Thomson, Shetland has a very capable chairman of the environment and transport committee. I would ask Ryan to put all of his efforts into examining the use of Scatsta airport.

This move should also be given the full support of the north mainland councillors.

This would be a move that would be supported by many in Shetland and isolate HIAL and it’s punitive charges.
