News / Late sailing
BIG seas and dry docking schedules are disrupting the NorthLink ferry service this weekend.
Serco NorthLink said that Saturday’s 7pm sailing from Lerwick to Aberdeen is unlikely to set off until 3am on Sunday, with an estimated arrival time between 6pm and 8pm.
Once it reaches Aberdeen Hjaltland will head for its refit, including a new paint job featuring the new livery of the arm aloft Viking.
Hrossey currently berthed in Aberdeen remains there until Sunday evening when it is scheduled to depart for Lerwick at the usual time.
Meanwhile Shetland’s main inter island ferry services returned to normal on Saturday afternoon after disruption overnight and in the morning.
Skerries however once again saw no ferry service on Saturday.
