News / Disability Shetland funding
LOCAL charity Disability Shetland has secured £15,000 of funding from The Robertson Trust in support of the running cost of its recreation club during the next financial year.
The club provides activities such as football, netball, table tennis, dance, new age kurling, swimming, carpet bowls, adapted games and gym for people with disabilities in Shetland.
Disability Shetland chairwoman Marie Williamson said, “We are delighted that The Robertson Trust have made this very generous financial award towards the recreation club for 2012/13, it will help us to continue to support people with disabilities in Shetland through our eight social clubs.”
