A SHETLAND tour operator is celebrating after receiving a 2018 certificate of excellence from tourism review website TripAdvisor.
Shetland Seabird Tours, which operates daily wildlife excursions to the famous bird cliffs of Noss, said they were “thrilled” by the positive reviews they are receiving on TripAdvisor.
One of the owners, Rebecca Nason, said: “As lifelong naturalists we care deeply about the marine environment here in Shetland and enjoy nothing better than sharing and enthusing about the rich wildlife encountered around Noss, Bressay and Lerwick with passengers from all over the world and of all ages.”
The certificate of excellence accounts for the quality and quantity of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period.
To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
The company’s Heather Leisman, vice president of industry marketing, said the certificate celebrates those who consistently receive strong praise and ratings on the world’s largest travel site.
“This recognition allows us to publicly honour businesses that are actively engaging with customers and using feedback to help travellers identify and confidently book the perfect trip,” she said.
