News / Dive teams arrive as search for Lorraine continues
POLICE divers have now arrived in Shetland to search for missing woman Lorraine Grains.
The specialist unit arrived in the isles on board the NorthLink ferry on Tuesday morning.
The team will concentrate their search on Laxo Water, a loch about a mile to the north of her home in Laxo, near Vidlin.
Forty three year old Lorraine has been missing from her home since Thursday morning.
An extensive sea and land search involving police sniffer dogs, the Lerwick lifeboat, the coastguard helicopter, coastguard rescue teams and many local people didn’t find any traces of the missing woman.
Lorraine is described as white, about five foot two in height and of slim build.
She has long purple hair and is believed to be wearing black leggings or jeans and a long black overcoat.
Anyone with information on Lorraine’s whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
