News / Accused of headbutting wife
A FORTY year old man has been granted bail after appearing at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with headbutting his wife to her injury.
Denis Zalekesin, whose bail address was given as Hoofields, Lerwick, had his case continued without plea on Monday afternoon.
He is accused of assaulting the woman at their home address on Sunday by seizing her on the body and butting her on the head. The alleged crime is said to have been aggravated by involving the abuse of his partner or ex partner.
The case will call in court again on 14 February. Zalekesin was bailed with the special conditions that he must not enter Endavoe in Scalloway, and must not approach or attempt to make direct contact with the complainer.
