News / New rock band Legion-bound
NEW UK rock band Hunter & the Bear are set to play the Lerwick Legion later this year as part of a Scottish tour on the back of the release of their self-titled debut album.
Described as “current pioneers of a resurgence of rock and roll”, the group will perform in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Perth, Stirling, Ullapool and Stornoway as well as Shetland. The Legion show takes place on Friday 26 May.
Hunter & the Bear’s combination of melodic sensibility with riff-laden tunes has been described as representing “the very best of guitar-driven music today”.
From airtime on BBC and national commercial radio to an enviable slot supporting Eric Clapton on his recent arena tour, the band’s deft employment of rock riffs and melodic songcraft has seen them championed by some of the biggest names in the rock canon, including Clapton himself.
Consistently on the road, the magnetic four-piece generate a “momentous buzz” wherever they tour, performing at increasingly large venues and festivals throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
