News / Screen two out of action
A TECHNICAL problem has left the smaller of Mareel’s two cinema screens out of action for a few days.
Shetland Arts said a part failure meant it was currently unable to show films in the 37-seat auditorium.
Marketing manager Lauren Doughton said the organisation was waiting to find out how long the part required will take to get to Shetland and that the screen “could be out of action for anywhere up to a week”.
Its screen two showings yesterday (Tuesday) were cancelled, along with four films on Wednesday and a further four on Thursday.
Anyone with tickets to screen two films on those days can contact Shetland Box Office to arrange a refund.
Doughton added that they would keep customers updated on its repair and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
