News / A close shave
THIS YEAR’s Scalloway jarl squad will be shaving their beards and heads for charity.
Jarl Haakon Haraldsson, more commonly known as Bryan Garrick, led his band of Vikings through the Scalloway Fire Festival last weekend.
However months of growing their beards and hair will come to an end on Saturday 23 January with a sponsored shave.
The event will take place at the Scalloway Boating Club, with money raised going towards Cancer Research UK and MS Society.
More than £500 has already been raised online.
