News / Ship to ship transfer
SHETLAND’s oil harbour at Sullom Voe enjoyed some unexpected business at the weekend when a ship-to-ship transfer had to be switched from the Scottish port of Nigg to Sullom Voe at relatively short notice.
More than 535,000 barrels of oil were successfully transferred from the 221 metre shuttle tanker Aberdeen to the Overseas Yosemite.
The 250 metre Overseas Yosemite left for St James, in Lousiana, in the early hours of Monday.
