News / Weather warning
FERRY operator NorthLink is warning its passengers that crossing the North Sea on Friday night is likely to take a few hours longer than scheduled.
Due to gale force northerly winds, forecast to last until Sunday morning, the southbound Hjaltland will be late into Kirkwall and is not expected to arrive in Aberdeen before 10am on Saturday morning.
Likewise, the northbound Hrossey may also be two hours late in arriving in Lerwick.
Departure times for both passenger vessels remain unchanged.
