There is a former stone-built croft house situated on the main croft land. It originally comprised a kitchen, living room, box bedroom and shower room, plus a loft, however it has in recent years been stripped back to the original stone walls internally, and it is now in very poor condition and possibly beyond economic repair. The house previously had power and water connections with drainage to a septic tank although this would likely need to be replaced if a new-build was envisaged.
Adjacent to the croft is a mainly stone-built byre which was heightened in recent years, plus a further roofless barn, again stone-built. The container behind the house will be removed prior to sale along with the other building materials.
The site of the existing house could perhaps be cleared to make way for a new-build property which would enjoy fantastic elevated views of the surrounding countryside particularly to the east over Lera Voe and Vaila Sound and across to the island of Vaila. Any development would however be subject to the usual permissions required and prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves in this regard by contacting the local planning department directly for advice.
