L3 MA Vehicle Body Repair Technician
Modern Apprenticeship funding is available for young people ages 16-19 years of age. (Some places may be available for 20+ years of age.)
We are seeking enthusiastic apprentices to join our team, all opportunities offer extensive on-the-job training and college based formal qualification to SVQ Lvl 3/MA Candidates must be able to provide a Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate no longer than 3 months old prior to start date.
We have the following opportunity available:
Vehicle Body Repair Technician Apprenticeships
As a Vehicle Body Repair apprentice you will learn:
- How to repair, and replace, damaged bodywork
- Assessing a vehicle to establish the extent of damage
- Removing damaged panels and refitting new/repaired panels
- Specialist surface coating techniques eg powder coating
A certain amount of administration and customer interaction is also required:
- Keeping a record of work carried out and time taken
- Liaising with the customer or insurance companies
The job involves numerous activities and you will need to be comfortable with a wide range of vehicles. In
this role, you will often be working as part of a team, so good communication and being able to follow
instructions would be good skills to have.
Commitment, enthusiasm and a passion for motor vehicles are a must!
