Are you an experienced aquaculture professional looking for your next challenge at sea? We are seeking a Senior Technician to support with the operations of our Thermolicer. You’ll join this specialist service vessel delivering essential fish health and welfare support across our marine farms

 

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for supporting fish health and welfare activities across our marine sites, ensuring operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest welfare standards. You will work closely with farm teams and vessel crew, contributing your expertise across a broad range of aquaculture activities.

 

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual who can demonstrate:

• Strong practical experience within the aquaculture, marine, or farming sector
• A solid understanding of fish health, welfare, and husbandry practices
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• A proactive approach to safety and a commitment to promoting a positive safety culture
• Flexibility and willingness to travel throughout our marine farming estate

 

Requirements

• Experience in fish welfare
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to achieve and maintain an ENG1 or ML5 medical certificate
• Willingness to work a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rota and travel throughout the SSF estate as required

 

Desirable qualifications and experience

While not essential, the following would be advantageous:

• Previous experience operating fish health treatment systems
• Boat handling qualification
• STCW Basic Safety Training certification
