Grieg Seafood Shetland Ltd is recruiting for Feeding Technicians, both experienced and at trainee level.
Based in Shetland and reporting to the Feeding Operations Manager the role entails:
Prioritise, plan and carry out the day to day feeding for your site/s, ensuring it is done to the highest standard. This will include the following tasks (not exhaustive):
- Daily feeding of the fish
- Assessment of fish appetite
- Assessment of fish behaviour
- Interpretation of environmental data
- Monitoring the health status of the fish
- Monitoring feed system efficiency.

The successful candidates will be highly motivated with a keen interest in developing knowledge and skill in feeding control and environmental monitoring. Previous experience in aquaculture is desirable although not essential as full training will be provided. The role is also an exciting opportunity for a graduate with a relevant aquaculture or science-based degree. Initially, based at the shore base feed stations, the role will relocate to a state-of-the-art feeding and environmental surveillance centre situated in Lerwick.
