D H Marine are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and work alongside our Qualified Electrical Engineers while progressing through an apprenticeship.

This is a 4-year apprenticeship that consists of a combination of off island college hours and on the job experience, leading to a final FICA test and an SVQ/NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation. You will be putting many of your skills learned within the course into practice with the help and support of our Engineers.

Tasks include:

  • replacing lighting electrical equipment on a quay
  • installing and commissioning electronic control systems on board aquaculture and pelagic vessels
  • carrying out installations, maintenance on equipment in the oil and gas sector including ATEX rated fixtures and fittings

It is a pre-condition of an apprenticeship offer that you must have passed the Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust (SECTT) Pre-employment assessment. To do this you must first register with SECTT. Please see and follow the instructions.
