Business & Administration Assistant SDAP
Fixed term post 2 years with potential onward funding
This is a new post to support the Shetland Domestic Abuse Partnership (SDAP). The Business & Administrative Assistant is responsible, through the Chair(s) of the SDAP partnership for the provision of clerical and administrative support to the work and activities of the Shetland Domestic Abuse Partnership. The role may involve delivering specialist, trauma informed training and awareness on behalf of SDAP.
We are looking for a creative, flexible, and organised woman to work as part of an enthusiastic and dedicated domestic abuse team. Previous relevant experience within local government and/or women’s sector, report writing, project management experience would be essential.
You must be highly organised, proactive, and work using a gendered analysis of domestic abuse. It is also essential that you drive and have a clean driving licence.
The successful candidate will:
- understand domestic abuse and its surrounding issues using a gendered definition and analysis.
- Have qualification(s) in relevant area (e.g., in business & administration, accounting, social work, psychology, social sciences, gender studies or other related fields) or working towards this.
The post is 20 hours a week, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a flexible manner that meets the needs of SDAP. The salary for this post is a grade H £27,468 to £28,607 pro rata; this includes a Distant Islands Allowance.
This post is funded by Delivering Equally Safe and is a fixed term of 2 years with potential to go beyond this time funding permitted. Part of this post may be to participate in ongoing funding for the post.
