A TWELVE year old boy is set to swim half a mile in the open waters of Loch Lomond later this month - before cycling 20 miles - to raise money for the Lerwick lifeboat station.
Willum Tulloch from Sandwick will take part in the Great Scottish Swim on 26 August, while he will also cycle from Balloch to Tarbet.
He said he often goes fishing with his dad and realises how dangerous working on a lifeboat can be.
NorthLink Ferries will help out by giving Willum and his family discounts on travel to and from the mainland.
The fundraiser hopes to give £500 to the RNLI. To donate, visit Willum's JustGiving page here.
