The Colour and Texture exhibition runs until early October. The Colour and Texture exhibition runs until early October.

AN EXHIBITION documenting the work of knitwear designer Victoria Gibson is set to take place at the Shetland Textile Museum in Lerwick.

The display, entitled Colour and Texture, will run from Tuesday (25 April) until 7 October at the Böd of Gremista.

Gibson, who arrived in Shetland in 1968 and brought new inspiration to the local knitwear scene, will also hold some tutorial classes as part of the event.

The display will explore an "evolution in design spanning almost fifty years, from striped jumpers knitted for the iconic Clothkits catalogue, through experiments with Fair Isle, to the textured knitting and phased colour transitions that are emblematic of her work today."

Curator Lizzie Simmons will also give two talks about the exhibition and Gibson's work.
