LOCAL metal band Quantana is again calling on the Shetland public to give them online votes as they vie for a slot at a London music festival.
The five-piece are one of just 50 acts left in Camden Rocks’ online competition, which saw nearly 20,000 bands initially be put forward.
The group are needing another of public support as they attempt to play at the multi-venue event in June and votes can be cast until Monday.
Quantana have history in festival competitions, with the band narrowly missing out on reaching the final stage in a competition to perform at UK’s Download Festival back in 2014.
Drummer Dwayne Davies said the band were pleased to have reached the final 50 in the Camden Rocks competition, which gives one band a slot at the Koko venue alongside the likes of Feeder.
Quantana, who have a number of singles to their name, have already performed live on the Scottish mainland.
“We're all been overwhelmed with the support we've had from the beginning and it goes to show when you live in area as small as Shetland, when support is needed, it goes a very long way,” Davies said.
